Thought for Today – A Ministry of John Palatucci

Good morning,

Thought for today

“whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.”  (1 Peter 1:8) Helen Keller said, “The best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen or even touched… they must be felt with the heart.” I could not imagine going through life blind, especially after being able to see before. When our little Rookie went blind, it was so heart breaking, watching him try to make it around the house safely. This is true of spiritual blindness. So many people are spiritually blind and try to go through life, running in to all kinds of  lies and perversions, and avoiding the truth of the Bible. Peter says we have not seen Jesus, but we love Him. And by faith we sense His presence. We have not seen the Father yet we know He exists because of all He has created, His miracles, and His love and His forgiveness. Jesus has filled us “with joy inexpressible and full of glory. When the Christians’ faith weakens, it gives the enemy a chance to barge in and mess with us. He cannot read our thoughts, nor can he know what we are going through, but he does know that all believers tend to get weak at times, and go through trials. So he fires the darts daily. Therefore, we need to stay strong in the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and daily put on the Word.

Lord God, thank You once again for the explicable joy You have set in my heart. Thank You for strength through the trials, hope in the future and even joy through the tear drops. It is so hard to understand how You can love a sinner like me, yet You do. I do pray for all who are blinded by the enemy and his lies, all whose hearts are so hardened by deception. Bless this day and be glorified in it, in Jesus most precious name,

Have a great day
