Thought for today
“For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13). God is involved in every person’s life from the very beginning. The “beginning” meaning conception. God does not like abortion. When a baby has been intentionally aborted, a murder has taken place. Children are very special since they are a gift of God. Because God is involved in every person’s life from the beginning, this makes everyone very special from the beginning. God wove you and I. Like a tapestry, each of us is a complex creature. All of our parts work together; each with a different job to do and all depending on the other parts. God works with the skill that confounds man. We recall the first creation which began it all. When God formed that very first pair of humans, He skillfully added mechanisms to each one. The Psalmist correctly identifies God as the Master Worker who is the source of our origin. This should send praise and thanksgiving pouring from our hearts. We are “fearfully” and “wonderfully” made. Each of us are unique in many ways, but also similar in many, and so very different, each an original masterpiece of the Creator. God can use your special abilities. He has a purpose for you and has a purpose for me.
Lord, thank You so much for these precious sisters and brothers You have blessed me with. I ask Lord, that You would bless each one in a very special way. Those whose finances are in disarray, those whose lives are wracked with pain, those grieving the loss of loved ones, those whose young ones have gone astray. And those who have turned their backs on You. Give them peace Lord, beyond all understanding, and that You alone would receive all the glory and honor and praise. I love them because You have given them to me to love and cherish through many many years. I love You and praise You in Jesus name, amen.
Have a truly blessed day
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
