4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
The people had come together and decided to build a city, a tower, and to make a name for themselves. They had found a place that they liked called Shinar (Genesis 10:8-10)
Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
Gen 11:2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
Gen 11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
Shimar is modern day Iraq. Saddam Hussein, believed that he was Nebuchadnezzar returned, and therefore he thought that he was destined to rule over a new resurrected empire of Babylon. This is why he was in the process of re-building the ancient city so that he could sit on the throne of the new Babylon as the new reincarnated King. Daniel 4:33 explains how his unfortunate plans would never come about and that he becomes or rather was already insane just as his supposed ancestor Nebuchadnezzar
In 2002 he sought the return of the Ish-tara Gate from Berlin to Iraq, along with copies of thousands of ancient Sumerian tablets from the British Museum.
Saddam sought to turn what would be the New Babylon into what it had and could have been under his two forerunner Kings.
Some believe that a Gnostic religion, the system that would become known as Kaballism (to receive) had flourished because of Nebuchadnezzar when he had looted and leveled Jerusalem and brought the Jewish people back to Babylon. In the book of Daniel, we learn that he sought to meld his own culture with that of Israel
Some claim that Nebuchadnezzar was ordered killed by God because he had opened up some kind of wormhole, or star gate in the fiery furnace, these same folks also believe that Saddam was on the verge of reopening the same gate. They claim that Nebuchadnezzar believed that the Hebrew and Babylonians somehow came from the same Sumerian background and that each held a missing puzzle that, put together could answer many questions as well as open the way for supernatural headway for mankind. They believe that this is why he leveled and looted Israel and that Saddam was in the process of finishing what his reincarnated self had started.
Evidence shows us that this tower that Nimrod had built was, in reality, a Ziggurat, a spectacular, pyramid shaped building that was given over to astrological worship. Among the ruins of ancient Babylon is a building 153 ft high with a 400 ft base. It was constructed with dried bricks in seven layers, which would correspond to what would have been the known planets. Each layer was dedicated to it’s own planet, shown by a certain color. It started from bottom to top and at it’s summit would have been the signs of the zodiac. No one completely knows what went on in these temples and how they were used but they were obviously a place of worship and communication with others and what they believed to be the gods. Nimrod and his wife started what would be called “The Babylonian mystery religion.”
These people, under the leadership of Nimrod, had come together as one and they were capable of anything, but their old perverse sinful nature took control and through the pattern that follows we can see that the world has never been the same.
When Nimrod died, his mother??/wife Queen Semiramis, saw to it that the Babylonian mystery religion in which he figured prominently continued on. Once he was dead, she deified him as the Sun-god, the father of creation. In various cultures he later became known as Baal, the Great Life Giver, the god of fire, Baalim, Bel, Molech, etc and Semiramis became the goddess of the moon, fertility, etc.
“In the old fables of the Mystery cults, their ‘savior’ Tammuz, was worshiped with various rites at the Spring season. According to the legends, after he was killed by a wild boar, he went into the underworld. But through the weeping of his mother… he mystically revived in the springing forth of the vegetation – in Spring! Each year a spring festival dramatically represented this supposed ‘resurrection’ from the underworld.
Thus, a terrible false religion developed with its sun and moon worship, priests, astrology, demonic worship, worship of stars associated with their gods, idolatry, mysterious rites, human sacrifice, and more.
Basically, almost every vile, profane and idolatrous practice you can think of originated at Babel with Queen Semiramis, the Mother Goddess and Nimrod. As the people scattered from Babel with their different languages, they, of course, used different names for Nimrod (Tammuz) and Semiramis. Some called the Mother Goddess “ISHTAR” (originally pronounced “Easter”). In other lands, she was called Eostre, Astarte, Ostera, and Eastre. Other names for Semiramis, the Mother Goddess include: Wife of Baal, Ashtaroth or Ashtoreth, and Queen of Heaven. The Mother goddess was frequently worshiped as the goddess of fertility – and as a sort of Mother Nature and goddess of Spring and sexual love and birth. She was also worshiped as a mediator between god and man. Sexual orgies and temple prostitutes were often used in her worship and in attempting to gain her favor.
Now we see here Nimrod beginning some weird mystery religion and it comes from a structure created for magic and worship. A pattern begins to show itself when we look at man in his relationship with God and how he relates to our Lord.
1) Man’s desire – To be like God
1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
The serpent coaxed the first man and woman into eating from the forbidden tree. He told them that they would be “as gods” or like God. They would be equal with God and that is something that they seemed to want because they both ate the fruit from the tree. Also notice what God says in verse 22.
22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Man has always wanted to be his own god. He has always wanted to find a way to answer to nothing but his own needs and desires, and what better way that to be your own authority and judge.
We start by taking God’s authority away. We take away the pain and death of sin and replace it with a need for better self-esteem. Before long, everything is ok because “God loves you, no matter what you do or say!!!” after all He created you that way. He created you and He knows that you are weak in that area of sin and desire so just pray it away and then God becomes no more than what man has imagined. He becomes a god in the image of man.
That is not God.
Yes God loves you, yes He is not mad at you, but He does not like your sin and He will not accept it so stop it!!!! He created us but He did not create us to sin. We sin because we are sinners.
Stop willfully sinning. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins and it is through your weakness, if you are saved, that He is made strong. We live through Him.
This episode ends with man being kicked out of the paradise of God and having that loving fellowship that once was shared between God and man severed.
Also notice the meaning of serpent.
serpent = Hebrew word # 5175: nachash (naw-khawsh’); a snake (from its hiss). From # 5172: nachash (naw-khash’); a primitive root; properly, to hiss,ie: whisper a (magic) spell; generally, to prognosticate: to practice divination, to divine, to observe signs, to learn by experience, to diligently observe, to practice fortune telling, to take as an omen.
Man’s eyes are opened in that now he has experienced something that he will never be able to overcome alone through the subtly of this old serpent. He now understands that there is good and evil in the world.
This experience has left man devastated
2) Man’s desire – To act like God
1And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
2And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
4And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
6And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
7If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
8And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Sin has already started it’s sinister work in the lives of the sons of Adam and Eve. Cain truly lived up to his name and he was a possessed man. Sin and anger got the better of him and he opens man’s eyes once more through acting like God, whether he knew it or not, by taking his brother’s life. It was anger aimed toward God but carried out upon Abel because God did not accept the “work” of Cain’s hands. In other words, God would not accept his self-made, man-centered worship.
Cain was extradited from the presence of God but not after he opened man’s eyes to murder and blood lust.
3) Man’s desire – To Be God
Here man has built this vast tower “to make a name for himself”
His eyes are opened towards things that we are not sure of, even now. Man sees that he can be God, not just like God, but sit in the place of God and that he can hold himself together and not be scattered, like Cain.
Man has always lived in direct opposition to God, especially when together in an unsaved degenerate state.
He has always tried, like Nimrod, to create his own religion in order to answer to his own god, himself and he has tried to do so in various ways and forms.
1) Strange doctrine
Laws concerning clean and unclean things
Heb 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
These days, man has tried to bring a lot of these strange doctrines into his life, in order to feel more godly or god-like and in order to feel more religious.
Some groups rely on these to keep themselves separate from others that they feel are too liberal or compromising
2) The doctrine of the Nicolatians
Rev 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
There were some who taught that it was lawful to eat things sacrificed to idols, and that simple fornication was no sin; they, by an impure worship, drew men into impure practices, as Balaam did the Israelites. Observe, (1.) The filthiness of the spirit and the filthiness of the flesh often go together. Corrupt doctrines and a corrupt worship often lead to a corrupt conversation. (2.) It is very lawful to fix the name of the leaders of any heresy upon those who follow them. It is the shortest way of telling whom we mean. (3.) To continue in communion with persons of corrupt principles and practices is displeasing to God, draws a guilt and blemish upon the whole society: they become partakers of other men’s sins. Though the church, as such, has no power to punish the persons of men, either for heresy or immorality, with corporal penalties, yet it has power to exclude them from its communion; and, if it do not so, Christ, the head and lawgiver of the church, will be displeased with it.
3) Doctrines of men
Colossians 2:20-22 – Things which perish
Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
Col 2:21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
Col 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
The golden calf
Act 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
Act 7:38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
Act 7:39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
Act 7:40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Act 7:41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
Act 7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
Act 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
Exo 32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Exo 32:2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.
Exo 32:3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.
Exo 32:4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Exo 32:5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.
Exo 32:6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
Notice the words – Make us gods
Idols from wood
Jer 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Jer 10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Isa 44:12 The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
Isa 44:13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
Isa 44:14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
Isa 44:15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
Isa 44:16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
Isa 44:17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
Isa 44:18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
Isa 44:19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
Isa 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
4) Doctrines of demons
1 Timothy 4:1-5
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
1 Corinthians 10:18-20
1Co 10:18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
1Co 10:19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
1Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
Eze 8:9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
Eze 8:10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
Eze 8:11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
Eze 8:12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
Eze 8:13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.
Eze 8:14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Eze 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Eze 8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Eze 8:18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
5) The doctrine of Balaam
Rev 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
The women of Moab did what the men couldn’t do
Num 25:1 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
Num 25:2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
Num 25:3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
Num 25:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
Num 25:5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
Num 25:6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Num 25:7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
Num 25:8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
Num 25:9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
Num 25:10 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Num 25:11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
Num 25:12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
Num 25:13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
6) The doctrine of Compromise
Jezebel- Revelation 2:20
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Ahab sits on the throne and Jezebel is his wife and it through this compromising king
(1 Kings 16:30-31) we realize that we have come to the very lowest point of spiritual degradation in the history of all the kings of Israel
1) In his marriage to Jezebel
2) To the promotion of Baal worship as the state religion
Jezebel – Her Phoenician name was Abizebel which means “My Father (Baal) is Noble”
The Hebrew scribes deliberately dropped a letter from her name.
So that she would be known forever as Jezebel, meaning, “Lacking honor”””
She was an exceedingly competent, highly gifted powerful person but she was exceedingly evil
She was princess and priestess of Baal and with her prodding, Ahab had gone further beyond a mere combing of beliefs
Now Ahab had become a full fledged worshiper of Baal
He established an alter, a temple, and wooden images for Baal. The sin that Ahab and Jezebel brought into the nation of Israel was total rejection of the true living God
Ahab probably had the most successful foreign policy that any king ever had except for Solomon. He had a coalition with every kingdom that surrounded them
“North, south, east, and west”
Ahab had named all of his children after Jehovah but he also furthered the progress of the pagan worship of his wife
Baal worship – was related to the guidance of the sun and the fertility of the earth and the sea
There was more than one god in their system
It was associated with the most horrible actions and religious activity
The groves – the high places – were an abomination to God (Psalms 78:56-59)
They would construct a pole and make it look like the genitals
It was associated with sexual immorality and to them, fertility
The prostitutes were made to be priestesses and sleeping with them was considered a religious activity
They were giving lip service to God but living and serving their own fleshy desires and pleasure
7) Sound doctrine
2 Timothy 4:2-5
The doctrine of Jesus Christ
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
This gospel tells us:
Who God is
Jer 10:13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
Jer 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
Psa 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Psa 33:7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Job 38:17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
Job 38:18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

Job 38:20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?
Job 38:21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?
Job 38:22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
Job 38:23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
Job 38:24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
Job 38:25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
Job 38:26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
Job 38:27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
Job 38:28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
Job 38:29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
Job 38:30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

Job 38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
Job 38:35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
Job 38:36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
Job 38:37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
Job 38:38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
