Exodus 20: 3-6 The Second Word Part 1: No Other gods Part 7

Matthew 11:2-6

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
John knew Jesus, he had seen the anointing of the Lord. He had proclaimed “This is the Lamb of God!”

Yet like all of us; he wondered.

Is this the truth?

Is this some myth?

Is this man the true Jesus Christ or some fable cobbled together by an ancient Jewish leader and furthered by a group of men later on for sensationalism?

Is this the true Christ?

Or is there another?

Even His contemporaries wondered:

Matthew 16:13-17

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

There are three basic versions of Jesus Christ in existence and the most important question that we can ask ourselves and those groups we are apart of is ” Is this the true Jesus or do we follow another?”

1. The human Christ

A physical man who was an illumined vessel of the Christ-spirit sent by the Noma. He learned all wisdom from all major religions yet he did not want to be seen as the Son of God but as a model of how we should live and seek to become filled with the same spirit as we obtain our own godhood.

This christ is the creation of what eventually became the new age movement and is prominent in systems like Islam. He is the basis for the Matreiya who will return to bring the world together. In Islam he will return to let everyone know that he was truly Muslim and all other religions are wrong.

2. The Spirit christ

Similar to the first, this persona is mainly Gnostic and available to all who gain greater knowledge in their quest to become like God. This christ was believed to come upon Jesus at His baptism and leave just before His crucifixion.

This christ can also be identified as the occult/new age Lucifer. Many, especially in main-line Christianity have begun to make this connection.

This persona came to give the forbidden, hidden knowledge to man to save him from the false god of the Old Testament. The problem is that this Lucifer/christ will also be the type for the false christ to come.

3. Jesus Christ

The true God-Man, Who came to save man from sin. He lived to show us God. He died on the cross for the world and He will return to rule and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is the Only Way to God!

Is the Christ you follow the true Christ?

It’s an important question. You can be wrong on all major themes of Christiandom. End times, baptism, church policy, but you cannot be wrong concerning Jesus Christ!

Do you teach Him?

Do you follow Him?

Do you know Him?

More importantly does He know you?

Matthew 7:21-23

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Be like John and make sure you are following the true Christ and not another!
